Verem in Goa

Verem is a very small village situated in North Goa. It is known as a boat building and fishing village. It has a small bazaar where a big Hindu tree shrine is situated that marks the turning to Reis Magos. In Reis Magos one can see an old fort known as the Reis Magos Fort and also a beautiful church.

Verem has a small beach known as the Verem beach or the Quedevelim beach. It is a rocky beach that is vastly spread along the villages of Sinquerim and Reis Magos. The beach is one among the many isolated beaches of Goa but one can come here to relax. It is also known to be a shell collector's paradise.

One can often see a lot of traffic in Verem as a lot of people pass this village to get to Panjim or to get to the more famous tourist spots like the Calangute beach or the Candolim beach. There are few hotels and resorts in Verem for accommodation.

There are a number of buses that run between Panjim and Candolim by which you can get to Verem. There are also a number of motorcycle pilots in the market area of Verem that take you to nearby places.
