This village of Parra for some people is famous for sweet, red watermelons whereas for some it is for pioneering English Institution called “The Sacred Heart of Jesus School”.

In Parra you’ll find many goldsmiths staying here, Parra has it attraction place called ‘Titto’, there are four lanes passing one to Guirim, one to Calangute – Baga, one to Anjuna and one to Mapusa. Here are some General stores, bars, small tea hotels etc.

Parra’s main attractions are Alvito Santiago’s Alva Mar Restaurant and Alex Saldanha’s Emerald Lawns where big parties, wedding celebrations are taken place in this called ‘Open Air Hall’.

Famous manufacturer beautiful imitations jeweler’s Gregory and Nicholas are Parra residential which is marketed countrywide. Parra has its own Parish church called ‘St. Anne” was built in 1649. Behind to this church is multi-purpose hall, coming up here is a sports stadium, whose work was started in the year 1992.

There are couple of lakes in Parra also helping to irrigate the fields during summer, infact one of the lake is called ‘Ganesh Tollem’. Besides these are two taverns Vintage Moti Bar (Loja de Vinhos Nativos) which was built in 1892 at Sales Vaddo and adjacent to it is Simao, both famous for serving feni.

Thus Parra is a Village something where you can have a nice out scenes.
