Chopdem is ideally situated north of the banks of river Chapora. Compared to other parts of Goa, Chopdem is relatively quite with a few social bars and cafes for rendezvous.
At Chopdem one can visit a number of temples such as the Bhumika Temple, Vetal Temple, Garudi Temple, Rampurush Devasthan etc.
Along the main road there are sparsely scattered guesthouses. Mostly the accommodation in Chopdem is in the form of little houses in the woods, which are often rented on a long-term basis. A ferry to Chopdem can be caught every 15 minutes from Siolim.
