Mandrem Beach

The Mandrem beach in Goa is situated to the north of Ashwem towards Arambol. It is an isolated beach with vast stretches of empty sand that has very little shade and is located in the Pernem taluka which is the northernmost taluka of Goa.

Being a quiet beach one can even see white-bellied fish eagles that live in the casuarina trees at the Goa Mandrem beach. Sometimes even the famous Olive Ridley marine turtles nest here.

For accommodation there are some hut camps and hotels all around Mandrem. However most of the accommodation is at an area called Junasa Waddo that has a number of guesthouses.

The Mandrem beach is a beautiful deserted beach, just a few huts offering not-so-good food, but the beach and sea are worth it. Good places to eat include End of the World Café for fish & Oasis for superb tandoori chicken, prawns & bread.

One can even find a market area known as Madlamaz-Mandrem nearby where you get some nice food and drink. People usually walk or hire scooters to get to this place.
