Assolna

Assolna is a small village situated in the South Goa district in the Salcette taluka. Here a lot of mansions of the colonial era can be seen which can only be viewed from outside as they are not officially open to the visitors.

Near the mouth of the Sal River there is a ferry service from Cavelossim to get to Assolna. The village also has a bazaar known as the Assolna bazaar that can be reached by turning left after the ride off the ferry.

One can visit a lot of other beaches of Goa such as Mobor, Cavelossim and Betul beaches while in Assolna. There is also a railhead situated nearby.
