House for Rent in Saligao

A large old double storey, Portuguese house, situated in the Village of Saligao, North Goa just 5km to Baga and Calangute, the two most popular beaches and tourist areas in North Goa.

The house is newly renovated combining classic Portuguese features with the latest in luxury western fittings including a private feature swimming pool and Jacuzzi.

The village of Saligao has a famous Ayurvedic Centre, restaurants and shops and makes an excellent base not only for the nearby beaches but also for touring the numerous sites in North Goa.

The house is looked after by our house manager, Anita, who will take care of laundry and daily cleaning. In addition, there is a night-time security guard and pool boy. Anita has quarters on the property together with 2 sedate Golden Labradors and she can make arrangements for any additional facilities you may require such as car hire (self drive or chauffer driven), bike hire, etc.

Accommodation
Antiques Portuguese wooden entrance doors open onto a double storey feature main entrance hall with sweeping staircases and gallery landing having stained glass windows. A pool table is located in the hall area . Leading off the entrance at ground level is a garden facing lounge/dining room with 4 sets of double, handmade carved and glass doors opening onto a covered veranda overlooking the pool. The room is fitted with ceiling fans and air conditioning having an LCD TV/DVD and 8 seater dining table with modern and antique furniture. Sitting area off the lounge area are two double bedrooms each with their own en-suite bathroom with imported fittings, marble and Spanish tiles comprising double sinks, toilet, shower and one having a long bath. The bedrooms have ceiling fans and air-conditioning wit doors and windows having traditional mother ?of ?pearl glazing.

The dining room end of the room leas into a large kitchen equipped to the latest western standards with breakfast bar, double door American fridge,small drinks fridge, dishwasher, gas cocking range, electric over, microwave, water purifier and 3 sinks(one fitted with a waste disposal unit). Next to the kitchen is a laundry room with washing machine and tumble dryer.

Going back to the entrance hall, the staircase leads to the spacious master suite. This is ideal for honeymoons or for a couple that just wants sheer indulgence. The gallery has a small balcony overlooking the pool and leads into the master suite. The first room is a lounge/sitting area, with day bed and ceiling fan overlooking the garden and pool through full height glass windows and has antique furniture and a drinks fridge together with tea/coffee making facilities. Leading off the sitting area is the huge main bedroom occupying half the length the house and has ceiling fans, air-conditioning, modern queen size bed, traditional small balconies and screened area with sofa , LCD TV / DVD and antique and modern furnishing. Continuing through this main bedroom is a large separate dressing area with one door from this into the gymnasium fitted with an Exercise bike and Skiing machine and a second door into a very large luxurious bathroom suite filled with marble and Spanish tiles and having a 2-seater feature corner Jacuzzi bath, separate walk-under shower, twin glass was basins, toilet and bidet.

The garden at the rear of the house has a full length veranda, barbeque area with modern gas Teppanyaki style BBQ and traditional Tandoori oven (Tandoori chef is available on request). The main feature s the large swimming pool with night lights and a separate 10 seater Jacuzzi pool, sun beds, dining table and chairs. The garden is tranquil with Mango and Lemon tress within the garden.

All clients must pay a refundable security deposit on arrival this will be returned on the day of departure if no breakages have occurred. Any client that refuses to give a security deposit may be refused entry.
