  An exhibition of drawings and paintings by a renowned Goan artist known as Shashi on Thoughts processed is being held from 28th October to 30th October at Kala Academy in Panjim.

1  Intoxication main cause of drowning on Goan beaches
  Surf Life Saving Goa, a group formed as a result of an agreement between the state tourism department and Drishti, signed on June 16, 2008, for beach safety management, has till date saved 28 persons from drowning in the Goan beach waters, since it started its service on October 1, 2008.

2  Goa Medical Council set to counter quacks
  In an attempt to stop quacks from practicing in the state, the Goa Medical Council's disciplinary and ethics committee chairman has recommended that the council should immediately issue orders to seal premises of those who don’t have qualifications in allopathy, ayurveda or homoeopathy but still practice medicine.
