1 Ramayan Month Celebrations
  Ramayan Month Celebrations is being held from 17th July to 16 Aug at 6:15am & 7:15pm at the Shree Ayyappa Temple in Vasco. During this period Ashtadravya Maha Ganapathi Homan will be performed everyday & Ashtadala Padma Bhagavati Seva will be later in the evening. For more details contact 0832 2531636.

2 Sculpture Design Workshop
  A Sculpture Design Workshop organised by the GHRSSIDC in association with Shilpaloka, Verna is being held from 24th July to 21st Aug at Shilpaloka in Verna for Ganesh idol artisians from all over Goa. For more details contact +91 9822140583 / 9226872681

3 Chintamanis jewellery expo
  Chintamanis jewellery exhibition will be held from July 28 to July 30 at Hotel Mandovi in Panjim. The highlight of the exhibition is the 'Pressure Setting' diamond jewellery. Diamonds, Gold and precious stones will also be on display and sale.

4 Portuguese Spanish course
  Portuguese Spanish course to be held at Communicare Cultural Centre, Mala, Panjim. The course is of 3 months duration, 4 times a week, with each sesion of one and a half hours. Portuguese language course will be held for children once a week as well as Portuguese language tutions for Std X, XI and XII will also be conducted. 2  Law to check tenants in leased premises
  Home minister Ravi Naik on Tuesday agreed to "suitably examine" a proposal to enact a law that would empower the police to prosecute citizens who lease out premises to migrants without furnishing their details to the police.

3  Goa will soon stop drawing Reliance power
  Goa will soon effect a saving on its power purchase bill after it stops drawing 16 mega watts of power generated by Reliance Salgaocar Private Limited, the first private power generation plant set up in the late nineties in the state.

4  Goa CM promises well-considered mining policy
  The Chief Minister, Mr Digambar Kamat informed the state legislative assembly on Tuesday that the mining policy would be finalised after taking the members of the House into confidence by the government. He also assured that the interest of the people of the state would be taken into consideration while finalising the policy.
