1 Chaat Festival
  A Chaat festival is being held from July 25 to August 3 at Café Azul, Cidade de Goa. The festival will include Delhi’s Nayee Sadak Chaat Walla offering the customers a variety of mouth watering chaats such as Chaat Papris, Aloo Matar Ki Chaat Tawe Wali, Paan Ki Chaat and many others.
2 Margao Cultural Programme
  A 10 day cultural programme will be held from July 20 to July 31 at Ravindra Bhavan in Margao from 7 pm onwards. The programme will include tiatrs, musical performance in Konkani, Marathi and Hindi, Konkani and Marathi dramas and a programme on old Konkani hits songs with mimicry. On 30 July Marathi drama 'Krishna Dwaipayan' by Rangadhara, Margao will be held.
3 Kabab Festival
  Kabab festival is being held at Delhi Darbar, a Mughlai restaurant in Panjim from 4th July to 31st July from 11:00 am to 3:30 pm and 7 pm to 11 pm. The festival promises to have a heavenly aroma, teasing your senses wrapped around delicious and succulent pieces of delight that is sure to set your tongue on a long enticing journey that begins.
4 Tri-continental film fiesta
  The 4th Tri-Continental Film Festival is being held from July 25 to 30 in Goa. The festival is brought to India by Breakthrough, New Delhi, an international human rights organisation. The Tri Continental Film Festival, which is a selection of some of the best films on Human Rights, is being hosted in Goa by Moving Images in collaboration with the Entertainment Society of Goa and International Centre, Goa.
5 Tiger "Fresh Catch of the Day"
  Tiger "Fresh Catch of the Day", a seasonal fiesta of preparations made from fresh seafood that is available in Goa during the monsoons, is being held at Royal Salute, the multi cuisine family restaurant at the Hotel Delmon in Panjim from 16th June till 1st August.

1  Chinks in Goa's armour
  Goa's bomb disposal squad (BDS) took more than an hour to reach the airport after an alert raised by the Central Industrial Security Force (CISF). That is hardly surprising, says a senior police official, when the state has only one BDS unit of five men and two sniffer dogs based at the headquarters.

2  Proud Goan pens anthem on Goa
  It is the songs that he has composed that have made him known in international Goan circles. It's a talent that he pursued right from his youth and for which, during the time the Portuguese ruled in Goa, he was given the opportunity to visit Portugal.

3  Beat system introduced in South Goa
  The number of crimes have increased in various parts of South Goa and keeping this in mind police have introduced beat system in entire South Goa from Tuesday. The South Goa superintendent of police, Mr Shekhar Prabhudessai on Tuesday said that seventy police beats have been constituted in entire South Goa.
