1	Anti-Drugs Exhibition
	An Anti-Drugs Exhibition organised by the Tuberculosis Association of Goa is being held from 26th June to 15th July at the TB Association of Goa Premises, M. G. Road, Panaji. The exhibition will focus on anti-drug, alcohol and tobacco and there will be posters, stickers, leaflets, CD'S, etc on display. There will also be various national and international publications collected by Dr.Damodar Bhounsule.

2	Seminar on Wakf law
	A seminar on 'The benefit of Wakf Law in India' will be held by The All India Milli Council, Goa State at Miramar Residency at Miramar, Panaji on June 29 at 10.15 a.m. The presidents and secretaries of all Mosques, Dargahs, Madrasas, Kabrastans and Eidgahs are invited to attend the seminar in the interest of the development of all Wakf Institutions.

3	Rain Dance
	A Gala Rain Dance will be organised by Sandy and Jolly at the Palm Dale Restaurant, Old Goa on June 29 from 10 am to 10 pm. Music will be provided by Dj's Ashton, Usman, Troy, Agnel, Manoj, Melroy, Mervin and Claudio.

4	Candolim Sangodd
	The famous annual Candolim Sangodd which is held to commemorate the feast of St Peter will be held at the Orda jetty in Candolim on June 29 at 2.30 pm. The Sangodd will begin with the feast of the Holy Cross Chapel at the jetty. Thereafter various Konkani stage artistes will perform on a platform built on four canoes that will stop frequently along the bank of the river.

5	Feast of St John the Baptist (United Kingdom)
	The feast of St John the Baptist will be celebrated by the Benaulim Association at Woodside High School Hall that was formerly known as White Hart Lane School, opp The New River Sports Centre, White Hart Lane, Wood Green, London N22. The event will begin with the Holy Mass being held at 12.30 followed by a social gathering. There will also be a dance and music will be by Maz & Co. & Disco.

6	Pranic Healing workshop
	A two-day intensive Pranic Healing workshop conducted by Paresh Meghani (Raja), a senior trainer will be organized on June 28 and 29 at Goa's Shipyard Officer's Recreation Club. The course fee is Rs 2200 inclusive of books, CD and lunch on both days.

7	Goa International Trade Fair
	Goa International Trade Fair an exhibition cum sale of items is being held at Kala Academy in Campal, Panaji from June 22 at 11:00am to 7:00pm. The event that will be held until June 29 will showcase a number of gifts, audio-video photography, interiors and exteriors, electronics, etc.

8	Tiger "Fresh Catch of the Day"
	Tiger "Fresh Catch of the Day", a seasonal fiesta of preparations made from fresh seafood that is available in Goa during the monsoons, is being held at Royal Salute, the multi cuisine family restaurant at the Hotel Delmon in Panjim from 16th June till 1st August.

9	SAFF Goa
	'SAFF Goa' - a 4 day South Asian Film Festival is being held at the Entertainment Society of Goa and Kala Academy, Panaji from June 27 to June 30, 2008.

10	Sizzlers Festival
	'Sizzlers Festival' is being held from June 6 until June 30 at Peppers situated at Pajifond Margao. The festival will have a variety of 30 sizzlers from chicken, meat, fish and vegetarian. A complimentary beer will also be served on every sizzler ordered during the festival.

11	Punjabi Food Festival
	A 'Punjabi Food Festival' is being held at Delhi Darbar, a Mughlai restaurant located in the heart of Panjim city. Mouth-watering Punjabi Khana will be served in an ambience of live music. There will be a variety of dishes which will be a treat to all Punjabi food lovers.

2	SEZ opposition baffles promoters
	Information technology (IT) Special Economic Zone (SEZ) promoters across the country feel that there should not be any opposition to SEZs if there is no issue of agricultural land and if the zones are promoted in a healthy way, Parsvnath SEZ Director S N Sharma said at a national conference on IT/ITES SEZs being held here at the Intercontinental Grand.

3	Monsoon draws in the crowds to Goa
	With Goa now becoming crowded and noisy during the peak tourist season from November to March, a good number of visitors now prefer to spend their holidays during the monsoons, when the entire state is clean, green and above all, less crowded and less noisy.
