1	San Joao Dance
	San Joao Dance will be held on June 28 at Club Vasco da Gama in Panaji. The event will begin from 8 pm onwards and will have pop string band 'Agostinho De Cruz' and Deirdre Aquino - mood setter.

2	Anti-Drugs Exhibition
	An Anti-Drugs Exhibition organised by the Tuberculosis Association of Goa is being held from 26th June to 15th July at the TB Association of Goa Premises, M. G. Road, Panaji. The exhibition will focus on anti-drug, alcohol and tobacco and there will be posters, stickers, leaflets, CD'S, etc on display. There will also be various national and international publications collected by Dr.Damodar Bhounsule.

3	Ex-NCC Achievement Awards
	On the occasion of its 7th anniversary celebrations, Ex-NCC Cadets Association, Goa will organise Ex-NCC Achievement Awards ceremony at the Goa Chamber of Commerce and Industry hall, Panjim on June 28.

4	Talk on Importance of Yoga in Life
	A talk on Importance of Yoga in Life will be given on June 28 at the Siolim Panchayat Hall at 5 pm. The speaker for the event will be the chief of the Goa unit of the Patanjali Yoga Seva Samiti.

5	Retro Revolution
	Retro Revolution will be held at Ozone on Sat, 28 June 2008 from 10 pm onwards. Retro music will be played by DJ Claudio and Goa's best, Forefront.

6	Pranic Healing workshop
	A two-day intensive Pranic Healing workshop conducted by Paresh Meghani (Raja), a senior trainer will be organized on June 28 and 29 at Goa's Shipyard Officer's Recreation Club. The course fee is Rs 2200 inclusive of books, CD and lunch on both days.

7	Goa International Trade Fair
	Goa International Trade Fair an exhibition cum sale of items is being held at Kala Academy in Campal, Panaji from June 22 at 11:00am to 7:00pm. The event that will be held until June 29 will showcase a number of gifts, audio-video photography, interiors and exteriors, electronics, etc.

8	Tiger "Fresh Catch of the Day"
	Tiger "Fresh Catch of the Day", a seasonal fiesta of preparations made from fresh seafood that is available in Goa during the monsoons, is being held at Royal Salute, the multi cuisine family restaurant at the Hotel Delmon in Panjim from 16th June till 1st August.

9	SAFF Goa
	'SAFF Goa' - a 4 day South Asian Film Festival is being held at the Entertainment Society of Goa and Kala Academy, Panaji from June 27 to June 30, 2008.

10	Sizzlers Festival
	'Sizzlers Festival' is being held from June 6 until June 30 at Peppers situated at Pajifond Margao. The festival will have a variety of 30 sizzlers from chicken, meat, fish and vegetarian. A complimentary beer will also be served on every sizzler ordered during the festival.

11	Punjabi Food Festival
	A 'Punjabi Food Festival' is being held at Delhi Darbar, a Mughlai restaurant located in the heart of Panjim city which will continue till June 29. Mouth-watering Punjabi Khana will be served in an ambience of live music every night. There will be a variety of dishes which will be a treat to all Punjabi food lovers.

12	SEZ-India 2008
	The first ever Conference and Exhibition of IT Specific Special Economic Zones (SEZs) – SEZ-INDIA 2008, will be held at Intercontinental The Grand Resort, Canacona on June 27 and 28. The exhibition organized by MMG Worldwide, will bring together Indian IT-specific SEZ developers and global managers of IT, software and BPO companies.

1	Another Scarlett-like case baffles Goa Police
	Goa Police are up against a case that is eerily similar to the Scarlett Keeling case. They found the body of 28-year-old Meghna Subedar in a highly decomposed state on a Goa beach on Thursday. She had gone missing from Mumbai on the 10th of April this year. She was working as a techie in Bangalore.

2	Goa to stress on agriculture
	With a view to make Goa a hub of agriculture, the agriculture minister, on Friday (June 27) said that Goa has the potential to become self sufficient in agriculture. He set the task to officials of agriculture department to adopt strategies for educating larger number of farmers on schemes and programme.

4	Modern bus stands soon in Goa, says govt
	The government on Friday announced the construction of modern bus stands, upgradation of existing bus stands with adequate infrastructure facilities and the construction of a modern, spacious and well furnished 'Transport Bhavan' at KTC bus stand in Panaji.

5	Goa wants 1% of central kitty
	The state has asked the Centre for 1 per cent from the total central funding allocated as assistance to all the states - at present it is allocated a paltry .2 per cent - at the meeting with the Thirteenth Finance Commission, informed the Chief Minister, Mr Digambar Kamat on Friday.
