1 Continuously Random Exhibition
  Continuously Random an exhibition of drawings and paintings is being held from 24th Oct to 13th Nov at Gallery Attic, Alfran Plaza in Panaji from 10.00 am to 7.00 pm. Tel.: 2420929/ 2257690
2 Dilli ka Khana at Cafe Azul
  'Dilli ka Khana' is being held at Cafe Azul presented by Cidade de Goa this Diwali season from 24th October to 2nd November between 7.30 pm to 11 pm. The festival will include a variety of dishes like Muglai Murgh, Kheema Stew, Mutton Biryani and lots more. For more details contact 2454545
3 Feast at Velim
  The feast of Matievello or Rakhneacho Khuris will be celebrated at Goemche Bhat, Velim on October 27. The Eucharistic celebration will be held at 9 a.m. with Fr Romano Gonsalves as the main celebrant.
4 Deepavali festival
  A two day deepavali festival organised by the Prabhuwada Deepavali Utsav Samiti under the presidentship of Chandrakant Chodankar will be held in the premises of the Shri Shantadurga Temple at Calangute from October 27.
5 Saras Fair 2008
  Saras Fair 2008 an exhibition cum sale organised by the District Rural Development Agency, South Goa is being held from 18th to 29th Oct at SGPDA Ground in Margao from 4.00 pm onwards. The fair will display a wide range of products manufactured by the rural artisans, craftsmen and beneficiaries of self-help-groups (SHGs) across the country. Tel: 0832 2712790/940

1  Goa Govt notifies land acquisition for industrial estate
  The state government has notified the acquisition of 8,83,576 sq m of land for the purpose of setting up an industrial estate/food park at Quitol in the Quepem taluka. The Goa Industrial Development Corporation (GIDC) had completed the process of acquiring the land about six months back. “We will develop the land either for the food park or industrial estate,” Ajit D Naik, chief general manager told TOI.
