1	Don Camillo Films Fest
	A festival of Don Camillo Films will be held from October 21 to 25 at the International Centre Goa in Dona Paula. A series of Don Camillo Films were made between 1952 and 1965 and Don Camilli was a fictional Catholic priest and the main protagonist in Giovanni Guareschi's satirical tales.

2	Best of India life style interior consumer exhibition
	Best of India the biggest India - International consumer life style exhibition will be held from 21st Oct to 26th Oct at BPS Sports Club in Margao, Goa from 5.30 pm to 9pm. The exhibition will include all top brands of LCD's, TV, Refrigerators, Washing Machines, Micro ovens, Mixer Grinders, Imported furniture and lots more.

3	Lepakshi Exhibition
	Lepakshi Exhibition organized by Lepakshi Handicrafts Emporium and sponsored by Development Commissioner Ministry of Textiles, Government of India is being held from October 16 to 26 at Club National, 1st Floor, Vaglo building, M G Road, Panjim.

4	Goan fiesta 2008
	Goan fiesta 2008 is being organized from October 5 to 26 in Mumbai to promote Goa as the best tourist destination. Various cultural programmes as well as a food festival are being organized at various places in the city.

5	Saras Fair 2008
	Saras Fair 2008 an exhibition cum sale organised by the District Rural Development Agency, South Goa is being held from 18th to 29th Oct at SGPDA Ground in Margao from 4.00 pm onwards. The fair will display a wide range of products manufactured by the rural artisans, craftsmen and beneficiaries of self-help-groups (SHGs) across the country. Tel: 0832 2712790/940

6	Balotsav - 08 at Margao
	Balotsav - 08, a children festival organised by the Directorate of Art and Culture and West Zone Cultural Centre Udaipur is being held from 20th Oct to 25th Oct from 10:00 am to 1:00 pm at Ravindra Bhavan in Margao, Goa. The festival is being held for school children of Margao and its vicinity, in the age group of 10-16 years. Tel: +91 9921043711

2	Drastic drop in Goa rentals
	A month ago, it would have been nothing but a dream to get a single-bedroom fully furnished apartment at Miramar for a monthly rent of Rs 7,000. Today it is a reality. A 3BHK in a prime locality like Dona Paula which cost Rs 30,000 per month till recently is now finding it difficult to get even Rs 18,000,” said Robert Fernandes of Ferns Real Estates, Tonca.

3	Bandh hits normal life in State
	Life in Goa came to a grinding halt with the bandh called for by the Akhil Goa Mandir Samiti receiving an overwhelming response on Monday. Stoning of buses and commercial establishments, a lathi-charge on demonstrators at Mapusa and Bicholim, arrests of protestors and road-blockades were reported in different parts of the State.
