1 Saaz Mohotsav, a dazzling jewellery exhibition
  'Saaz Mohotsav', a dazzling exhibition of jewellery in diamonds, gems, pearls and precious stones is being held at Lagu Bandhu Jewellery showroom in Panjim from June 7 till June 21. The exhibition organized by Lagu Bandhu on the occasion of its 1st anniversary will display all the new collection specially brought in for the ocassion.

2 Fire n Ice
  Fire n Ice will be held at Butter in Candolim on 20th June 2008 from 9 pm onwards. The dress code will be blazing gold and flowing aqua. Music will be played by 3 DJs - Dj JD, Dj Yuri and Dj Aneez.

3 Tiger "Fresh Catch of the Day"
  Tiger "Fresh Catch of the Day", a seasonal fiesta of preparations made from fresh seafood that is available in Goa during the monsoons, is being held at Royal Salute, the multi cuisine family restaurant at the Hotel Delmon in Panjim from 16th June till 1st August.

4 Sizzlers Festival
  'Sizzlers Festival' is being held from June 6 until June 30 at Peppers situated at Pajifond Margao. The festival will have a variety of 30 sizzlers from chicken, meat, fish and vegetarian. A complimentary beer will also be served on every sizzler ordered during the festival.

5 Punjabi Food Festival
  'Punjabi Food Festival' is being held at Delhi Darbar, a Mughlai restaurant located in the heart of Panjim city which will continue till June 29. Mouth-watering Punjabi Khana will be served in an ambience of live music every night. There will be a variety of dishes which will be a treat to all Punjabi food lovers.

1  Global institutions evince interest in Goa.
  Several top educational institutions from India and abroad offering education in the fields of engineering, hotel management and information technology, have approached the State Government for allotment of land in the proposed education estates, according to Goa Education Development Corporation Chairman M K Shaikh.

2  Konkani music on 'RadioGoa' via Internet
  RadioGoa, a unique venture by Dubai-based NRI Goan Benedict Lobo, has taken Konkani music worldwide. Lobo said that the idea was conceived when a US based friend requested to send him some Konkani CDs as he was longing to hear some old Konkani songs.

3  Goan workers turning away from Gulf
  Acknowledging the observations made by the Moody's Investors Service that the rising cost of living is making the Gulf countries less attractive for expatriate workers, Mr U D Kamat maintained that 'new generation Goans' are moving to places like Bangalore and Hyderabad for career in IT, rather than migrating to Gulf countries.

4  Red corridor spreading to Goa
  The government is worried that the red corridor could extend its activities to Goa. "In the last two or three years there have been Naxal activities in the state. There are Naxals from the tribal areas of Jharkhand who have links with CPI (ML), a banned organisation operating in the state," said leader of Opposition Manohar Parrikar.
