| With the inauguration of the prison management system (PRISMS) by home minister Ravi Naik on Thursday, Goa became the first state in the country to have a first-of-its-kind centralized jail monitoring system for the entire state. Inspector general of prisons (IG-P) Mihir Vardhan gave a live demonstration of the system on a big screen to the home minister, opposition leader Manohar Parrikar and deputy inspector general of police Kishan Kumar in the collectorate building at Panaji. | |
