1	Handicraft Fair
	An exclusive exhibition cum sale & live demo of handicraft & products made by NGO's artisans is being held from 17th to 26th Jan at Sunshine Building, B - Bazar, Opp. Hindu Pharmacy, Loyola - Fatorda Road, Madgaon Goa from 11.00 to 9.00.

2	St Sebastian feast
	The feast of St Sebastian will be celebrated at St Sebastian Chapel in Arpora on January 20. The masses will be held at 7 am and 9 am. In the evening 'Eka Goenkaracho Xevott', a Konkani drama by Anil-Olga will be staged near the Chapel premises.

3	Chintamanis jewellery expo
	Chintamanis jewellery exhibition will be held from Jan 20 to Jan 22 at Hotel Mandovi in Panjim. The highlight of the exhibition is the 'Pressure Setting' diamond jewellery. Diamonds, Gold and precious stones will also be on display and sale.

4	Kala-Rang Festival of Dance, Music and Theatre
	Kala-Rang Festival of Dance, Music and Theatre is being held from Jan 19th to Jan 21st at the Ravindra Bhavan in Margao. On Jan 20th, there will be an English play by Prime Time Theatre, "Wedding Album" written by Girish Karnad. For more details contact 0832 3263061.

6	51st National Exhibition of Art

2	Goa Govt seeks measures to tackle bio-medical waste
	Goa State Pollution Control Board (GSPCB) has issued 133 notices to hospitals and pathological laboratories including Government-run hospitals and health centres for submission of Action Plan on compliance of Biomedical Waste Rules even as the State Government today asked the hospital managements to immediately decide on short-term measures to tackle bio-medical waste.

3	Fishing jetties in Goa to be upgraded to international standards
	The Malim, Betul, Cortalim and Chapora fishing jetties are to be upgraded to international standards with expressions of interest to this effect already sent to the Union government, said the Fisheries Minister, Mr Joaquim Alemao on Monday.
