1 Hindusthani Music Department Utsav
  The Kala Academy Hindusthani Music and Dance Department is organising the Festival of various programmes. It will be held from 16th July to 18th July at the Dinanath Mangueshkar Auditorium at Kala Academy in Panjim. For more details contact 0832 2420456.

2 Bhajani Sapatah Festival
  The Bhajani Sapatah Festival is being celebrated from 14th July to 21st July from 9:00pm to 12:00pm at the Mallikarjun Temple at Shristhal in Canacona.

3 Mount Carmel Feast
  The annual feast of Our Lady of Mount Carmel will be celebrated at the Carmelite Monastery, Margao on July 16. The concelebrated festal mass will be presided over by Rt Rev Filipe Neri Ferrao at 5 pm.

5 Portuguese Spanish course
  Portuguese Spanish course to be held at Communicare Cultural Centre, Mala, Panjim. The course is of 3 months duration, 4 times a week, with each sesion of one and a half hours. Portuguese language course will be held for children once a week as well as Portuguese language tutions for Std X, XI and XII will also be conducted. 3  GTDC to have its own cruise ship
  Soon the shipbuilding yards in Goa will bid for a cruise vessel tender to be floated by the Goa Tourism Development Corporation. The cruise ship tender to be floated in a week’s time, will incorporate emerging features, such as GSM, satellite services, best sound system, fully air conditioned, LCD TVs and a possible Wi-Fi system.

4  Goa nod for rural health centres
  The state cabinet on Wednesday approved the setting up of an additional 64 sub-health centres in the rural areas of Goa under the National Rural Health Mission. Announcing this at a press conference, chief minister Digambar Kamat said that these 64 sub-health centres will function under the directorate of health services (DHS) and cater to the growing demands of the increasing population
