1	World Environment Day 2008
	Goa Science Centre in collaboration with Institute of Town Planners India, Goa Regional Chapter will be celebrating World Environment Day 2008 on June 12 and June 13 at the Goa Science Centre in Miramar.

2	Salsa & Jive lessons and parties
	Salsa & Jive lessons and parties is being held at Loungefly in Baga from June 12 to June 15. The event is presented by Rock around the clock Dance Company and will include dance performances by Prithvi and Ree.

3	Feast of Saint Anthony
	The feast of Saint Anthony will be celebrated by the Anthonians Past Pupils Association (Duler) and its Youth wing, in association with the PTA, the St Anthony's High School and Institute on June 13. The celebration will commence at 9 am with the Eucharistic Mass in the Institute chapel and will be followed by a cultural programme 'Our Goan Culture' for the students. There will be a lot of games and food stalls. The cultural programme will also have Fancy Dress, Kunbi dance and a Konkani skit competition. A mini football tournament will also be held on the occassion.

4	Sizzlers Festival
	'Sizzlers Festival' is being held from June 6 until June 30 at Peppers situated at Pajifond Margao. The festival will have a variety of 30 sizzlers from chicken, meat, fish and vegetarian. A complimentary beer will also be served on every sizzler ordered during the festival.

5	Friday da 13th
	Friday da 13th will be held at Butter in Candolim, Goa on Friday 13th June 2008 from 10 pm onwards. The Djs for the event will be Dj Aneesh and Dj Yuri. There will also be lots of food and dance at the event.

6	Punjabi Food Festival
	'Punjabi Food Festival' is being held at Delhi Darbar, a Mughlai restaurant located in the heart of Panjim city which will continue till June 29. Mouth-watering Punjabi Khana will be served in an ambience of live music every night. There will be a variety of dishes which will be a treat to all Punjabi food lovers.

7	Saaz Mohotsav, a dazzling jewellery exhibition
	'Saaz Mohotsav', a dazzling exhibition of jewellery in diamonds, gems, pearls and precious stones will be held at Lagu Bandhu Jewellery showroom in Panjim from June 7 to June 14. The exhibition organized by Lagu Bandhu on the occasion of its 1st anniversary will display all the new collection specially brought in for the ocassion.

2	Goa Government reduces cess on transportation
	The government on Thursday issued a notification revising the transportation cess on sand imports reducing the same by Rs 10 per cubic meter. The notification issued by the Department of Transport comes into effect from today.

3	Goa govt staff on strike from today
