6	Lokotsav 09
	Lokotsav 09, a National festival of folk art and handicrafts organised by the Govt. of Goa, Directorate of Art and Culture, Goa and West Zone Cultural Centre, Udaipur is being held from 4 to 13 January at Darya Sangam, Kala Academy in Panjim. The exhibition is open to the public from 10 am to 9 pm.

7	PLUg_IN '09

1	Black market hits gold in parts of Goa
	The oil companies strike turned out to be a windfall to petrol and diesel black marketeers in various parts of the state, as not just small traders and shopkeepers, but even pan vendors turned "retailers" to cash in on the crisis fuelled by demand and panic.

2	Special ‘Bharat Darshan’ train to visit Goa
	The Indian Railway Catering and Tourism Corporation (IRCTC) will run a 12-day special train, Bharat Darshan, taking passengers around several religious and tourist places across the country. The train, which has a capacity of 480 passengers, would start from Bhopal on 24 January and reach Madgaon in Goa on 26 January
