1	Mario Miranda archive and exhibition
	Mario Miranda archive and exhibition hosted by the Department of Art and Culture - Government of Goa is being held from May 30 till June 7 at the Menezes Braganza institute in Panjim. The same will be open from 11 am till 7 pm and cover all aspects of Mario's work which includes about 6,000 drawings organized in 60 sections and is presented in 22 folders.

2	Career Guidance Fair
	A three day Career Guidance Fair will be organized from June 6 to 8 at Azad Bhawan, Porvorim by Navjivan Society of Freedom Fighters in collaboration with Nehru Yuva Kendra, Government of India. An exhibition will also be put up at the venue depicting opportunities in various careers.

3	Sizzlers Festival
	'Sizzlers Festival' is being held from June 6 until June 30 at Peppers situated at Pajifond Margao. The festival will have a variety of 30 sizzlers from chicken, meat, fish and vegetarian. A complimentary beer will also be served on every sizzler ordered during the festival.

4	Saaz Mohotsav, a dazzling jewellery exhibition
	'Saaz Mohotsav', a dazzling exhibition of jewellery in diamonds, gems, pearls and precious stones will be held at Lagu Bandhu Jewellery showroom in Panjim from June 7 to June 14. The exhibition organized by Lagu Bandhu on the occasion of its 1st anniversary will display all the new collection specially brought in for the ocassion.

5	Speechcraft 2008
	'Speechcraft 2008' a training event at zone level organized by Junior Chamber International, JCI, Panjim will be held from June 6 to 8 at the lecture hall, Inspector of Factories & Boilers, Altinho. ....... more information »»

6	Marathi Film Festival
	Goa's first ever 2 day Marathi Film Festival will be held on June 7 and 8 at the Maquinez palace auditorium at Panjim. The event is being organised by Vinsan Graphics Production in collaboration with MyGroup Productions, Mumbai, and the Entertainment Society of Goa and the Directorate of Art and Culture, Government of Goa. During this festival, 6 films produced and directed by stalwarts in the field of Marathi cinema will be screened.

1	Govt gears up to face monsoon eventualities
	The state government has geared itself to face natural calamities generally associated with monsoons like floods, cyclone, storms, etc, which cause damage to life and properties by opening round-the-clock control room at secretariat to monitor the situation throughout the state and ensure prompt action.

2	New law overrides Regional Plan
	The worst fears of NGOs over the controversial TCP (Amendment) Bill 2008 may not be far from coming true as the State Government has got the nod that will enable it to take up projects, development works and schemes undertaken by Central government or State Government that need not conform to the provisions of the Regional Plan.

3	Goa delays ED land probe
	The Goa government's delay in furnishing details of major illegal purchases of land by foreigners in Goa is hampering investigations by the Enforcement Directorate, Mumbai. Repeated requests by the ED to the Goa government have not yielded any details.
