	A book fair is being held from Jan 5 to Jan 11 from 9 am to 8.00 pm at Gomant Vidhya Niketan in Margao. 2	Batik Show 08

3	Childrens' Theatre Festival
	Childrens' theatre festival organised by Bal Bhavan in Panjim is being held from January 3 to 7 at Margao, Keri, Curchorem, Ponda and Panjim in collaboration with the Department of Information and Publicity.

4	Lokotsav 09
	Lokotsav 09, a National festival of folk art and handicrafts organised by the Govt. of Goa, Directorate of Art and Culture, Goa and West Zone Cultural Centre, Udaipur is being held from 4 to 13 January at Darya Sangam, Kala Academy in Panjim. The exhibition is open to the public from 10 am to 9 pm.

5	Exhibition of Portuguese items
	An exhibition of Portuguese items such as ceramics, cutlery, outdoor lights, kitchen knives and terracotta is being held from 2nd to 9th Jan 09 from 10.00 am to 7.00 pm at Costa's factory, Aquem, Alto Margao, Goa. 3	Goa not hit by transporters' strike
