Ambika Cane (Rattan) Craft was started in the year 1965 by master craftsman, Shri Thako Navu Lambor. He has been instrumental in promoting cane furnitures in Goa. Ambica Cane(Rattan) Craft is registered under the Handicraft Development Commissioner(Handicraft) and also under Ministry of Textiles,Govt of India and also under Small Scale Industries, Govt of Goa.

Shri Sanjay Lambor, brother of Shri Thako Navu Lambor, also a qualified and experienced artisan, has been running the business after the demise of his brother. He has also be instrumental in expanding the existing business to various other places in India and abroad.

Cane(Rattan) furniture scores better than wooden as well as metal furnitures in terms of Eco friendliness as it is a replacement for wood there by saving a lot of wood and also longitivity and durability.
